Teach your brand voice once, not every single post

· Brand voice

If you explain the tone again in every brief, the voice is not actually documented, it is living in your head. Here is how to get it out.

A familiar pattern shows up in growing teams: a new person joins, or a contractor picks up a batch of posts, and someone has to explain the brand's tone from scratch, again. It is a sign the voice exists only in one person's head rather than anywhere anyone else can check it.

The fix is writing it down in a form people can actually use. Adjectives like friendly and bold do not tell anyone much on their own. What helps is real examples: a sentence your brand would say, and a sentence it never would, sitting side by side.

Once that reference exists, anyone drafting a caption can check their own work against it instead of guessing what you meant, or waiting for a round of feedback to find out.

The payoff compounds over time. Every new person ramps up faster, every caption needs fewer rounds of can you make it sound more like us, and the voice stops depending on any one person being available to explain it.
