The Social Bee app for ChatGPT has been approved and is live.

How do you connect Social Bee to ChatGPT? Open ChatGPT's Apps or Plugins directory, find Social Bee by HYVE, connect the intended Social Bee account and choose your brand. Start with a read-only check, then ask for a draft. Connecting the app does not automatically publish to your social accounts; scheduling or publishing is a separate action subject to your permissions and required approvals.

Before you start: you need a Social Bee account with access to the relevant workspace and brand. Social Bee is a paid product; check the current plans and allowances on the pricing page. ChatGPT app availability also depends on your ChatGPT plan, region and workspace settings.

1. Find the right app. Open Apps or Plugins in ChatGPT, depending on the option available to your account, and search for Social Bee. Check that the listing identifies Social Bee by HYVE and points to socialbee.hyve-os.com. Select Install or Connect if shown, then follow the setup flow. This guide covers Social Bee by HYVE, not other products with a similar name.

2. Connect your account. Open the listing, choose Connect when available, then sign in on Social Bee's authorization page. Review the access request before allowing it. The approved app uses OAuth: do not paste a password, API token or connector token into a conversation.

3. Confirm your brand before making changes. Start a conversation with Social Bee and ask: "Show the brands I can access. Do not create or publish anything." If you work across brands, name the one you want and confirm the returned workspace and brand match.

4. Check the context. Try: "For [brand], show my saved brand voice and the posts scheduled for next week. Do not change anything." Or: "For [brand], how many image credits are left?" These are useful first checks before requesting work that uses an allowance.

5. Make a reviewable first draft. Try: "For [brand], draft one Instagram post about [an existing product] using our saved brand voice. Show me the concept first. Do not generate images, schedule or publish yet." Review the copy and product details before asking for the next action.

6. Review the destination before publishing. Once the draft has the required approvals, name the exact connected account and intended date, time and timezone. For example: "Show the approval status and exact destination for [draft]. Do not publish yet." Confirm a separate publishing or scheduling request only after those details are right.

What can you do after setup? Supported workflows include reading brand context and the calendar, preparing briefs and drafts, requesting Social Bee creative, checking allowances, and moving approved work toward exact-account publishing. Your role, plan, account connections and each channel's availability determine what is actually allowed.

Approval stays in Social Bee. The connection cannot grant a new role, bypass required review or turn an unapproved draft into a published post. A generated image is not an approved post, and a scheduled post is not proof of delivery. Check the final status in Social Bee after an external action.

Costs stay visible too. Requests for Social Bee image or video generation use the product's applicable allowances or prepaid units. They are not made free by asking through ChatGPT. Check the balance and scope before generating, and use the read-only starter prompts when you only want to inspect your workspace.

Cannot find or connect the app? Check you are in the intended ChatGPT account and workspace. If Connect is unavailable or the app is disabled by an administrator, review the workspace restrictions and OpenAI's app-availability guidance. Do not create a new token or a duplicate custom connector just to work around an unavailable listing.

Connected, but the wrong brand or no social account appears? Verify your Social Bee login and brand access, then inspect Connections in Social Bee. Connecting ChatGPT to Social Bee does not itself connect an Instagram, Facebook or other publishing account. A missing permission or account connection must be resolved in the product before that workflow can run.

Keep the handoff simple: conversation for the brief, Social Bee for the saved draft, named approval and delivery record. The workflow guide below walks through what comes after connection; the product and approval pages explain the controls before you start.

Need a workflow beyond social publishing? HYVE Labs, the team behind Social Bee, also builds custom AI workflow automation. Use Social Bee for its supported social operations; discuss a separate project with HYVE when your brief involves connecting your own business systems.
